SPD1200 series — 905 nm low-cost rangefinder modules
The entry point: 5 to 10 g, UART-TTL or UART/IIC, 1.2 to 1.5 km at 90 % reflectance and ±0.2 to ±0.5 m accuracy. Designed for volume products where the board has no room for a high-voltage bias supply.

Choosing inside this series
Range, mass and interface move together here: the longest-reach parts are the heaviest and run RS-422, while the lightest parts are short-range and run UART-TTL. Pick the two you cannot negotiate, then read the model page for the test condition behind the range figure — a 7-model series usually quotes several different targets.
