Buying ERDI laser rangefinder modules
This site is run by the supplier side of the ERDI catalogue. That is worth knowing before you trust the numbers: we publish the manufacturer's test conditions unedited, including the ones that make a headline range look worse.
What you can get from us
| Datasheets | Module documents for any model in the catalogue, on request, before you buy |
|---|---|
| Samples | Single units for bench evaluation; state the interface and mounting you intend to use |
| Selection support | Two or three candidates with the reasons, from target, range, mass and interface |
| Export documentation | Commercial invoice, packing list and the paperwork your customs broker asks for |
| Customisation | Harness, connector and firmware options where the module supports them — ask per model |
What we will not do
- Quote a range without a target and a visibility. If you need a number for a 0.3 m drone at 10 % reflectance in haze, we will say we do not have it rather than scale one.
- Publish prices for a configuration we have not discussed — quantity, harness and export terms move the number.
- Claim a laser class for your finished product. The module document states the module's classification; the assembled unit needs its own assessment.
How to buy well
- Read the selection guide and write down six numbers: target size, target reflectance, required range, expected visibility, mass budget, interface.
- Shortlist with the selector or take a series page for the family that fits.
- Ask for the datasheet plus a sample of the top candidate.
- Test on the bench with a real target, at the conditions you actually operate in — the test guide has the procedure.
